The Tengu , is one of the most disturbing Japanese mythological characters, we could define him as a Synthetic God or as a Buddhist demon. Its origin is not entirely clear.
We find him around in the mountains and depicted as a bird-man. He has wings, wears a range of feathers and his main feature is the mask with a huge red nose (in ancient paintings he was depicted as a monster-bird with a beak).
